Product Applications
Mobile field operations
The imc C-SERIES is the ideal companion for mobile measuring. With its compact design, fan-less case and possibility of self-sustaining and PC-free operation, it is ideal for use in vehicle testing or field trials.
The advantages at a glance:
- Compact design
- Fan-less housing
- Autonomous measuring PC-independent
- Self-start and self-stop capabilities
- Versatile storage options including on-board removable flash media
- Universal signal conditioner
- Integrated real-time analysis and data reduction
Test stand applications
In test stand applications, integration into new or existing environments is often required. The imc C-SERIES offers both software interfaces, such as imc COM and LabView Vis, as well as hardware interfaces such as Ethernet and CAN-bus.
In addition to pure data acquisition, the imc C-SERIES provides everything you need in order to implement challenging control and regulation applications. The integrated signal processors, in combination with digital inputs and outputs, allow it to acquire and set conditions, as well as make setpoint specifications over the analog outputs.
The advantages at a glance:
- Measurement, control and regulation in a single system
- Diverse hardware and software interfaces for integration
- Synchronous acquisition of digital, analog and field bus data
- Available for complicated potential conditions with isolated inputs
- Durable real-time operating system ideal for long-term testing
Monitoring tasks
The imc C-SERIES can easily be equipped with an analog or UTMS modem that will automatically connect to the internet. Using the remote monitoring software for PCs, imc LINK, you will easily be able to check on status information or transfer data. If limits are violated, the device can automatically report by sending alarms and alerts via SMS or email. Because the measurement system has a GPS mouse connected, you can also check current location on the map, in addition to checking and analyzing data with consideration for the local conditions.
Product Benefits
imc C-SERIE: Software
User Experience: imc STUDIO
The imc C-SERIES is configured and operated through the included imc STUDIO software package. Offering a comprehensive solution to configuration, visualization and reporting, imc STUDIO is designed to adapt to your needs in interacting with your test and measurement instrumentation, and is fully integrated with imc C-SERIES.
imc STUDIO is far more than the limited "one-size-fits-all" software included with most data acquisition devices. Through an easily customizable user interface, imc STUDIO eliminates the need for time consuming and complex programming, debugging, and software maintenance chores.
Whether you are a mechanical engineer gathering your own development data in the field, a test engineer creating a multi-user test cell operator console, or an engineering manager responsible for enterprise level measurement and control strategy, imc STUDIO provides a multi-purpose, multi-use & scalable solution all under one umbrella.
Ready to Meet Your Requirements
At its heart, imc STUDIO is a complete toolbox, combining many separate tools in a seamless and entirely integrated environment:
- imc SETUP governs the configuration of the data acquisition, triggering, data display and storage aspects of the instrumentation. In addition, synchronously captured video/audio and position (GPS) data is also available.
- For the test rig applications, an additional real time control system including closed-loop control and signal output is available.
- imc PANEL provides the visual interface ("GUI") for the configured system, including:
- Familiar 2D and 3D data displays of imc CurveWindow, where any arrangement of curves is possible, including the ability to change the scaling even during a running measurement.
- A wide range of easily configured graphical I/O devices, the imcControls (or Widgets), a library of pre-defined input and output elements such as gauges, meters, tapes, indicators, switches, etc.
- Complete test programs are realized through interactive elements of the imc PANEL, by semi-automated sequencing of measurement steps with the imc SEQUENCER, and/or through an entirely autonomous measurement and control environment of the imc AUTOMATION.
- The integrated measured data analysis program (imc FAMOS) and convenient report composition capability complete the measurement process. This can even be automated as an event-driven routine using a freely programmable sequence generator triggered automatically by the measurement process or user controls.
- Administration of measured data and project management by means of metafiles in various formats ensure gap-free traceability of the course of a test program.
